Valentine, Martyr (February 14)
Click here to read Gene Veith's post on St. Valentine. It's more about the love of Christ than the love that is normally celebrated on this day. Although having said that, isn't it the love of Christ the Bridegroom for his bride the Church that is the model and motivation for Christian husbands and wives? So go out and buy your "Valentine" a card after all.
